Split a PDF and extract pages online
Only need a few pages? Pick them and export a new file; the original stays untouched. Click pages to select them, or just type a page range.
How it works
- Open the PDF Choose a file or drop a PDF onto the page.
- Select the pages to keep Click thumbnails on the left; hold Shift to select a run of pages and ⌘/Ctrl to add single pages. You can also type the range later in the export window.
- Click "Export PDF" and choose a range Pick "All pages", "Current page only" or "Custom pages". For a custom range write something like 1-3,5,8-10; there are shortcuts for odd and even pages. The window shows live which pages will be exported.
- Save the new file You get a new PDF with just those pages. To split into several files, export again with a different range.
Good to know
- Separate pages with commas or semicolons; extra spaces and a trailing comma are ignored, and "5-" means page 5 through the last page.
- If you select two or more pages before exporting, the window switches to "Custom pages" with your selection filled in.
- Right-clicking a thumbnail and choosing "Export selected pages as a new file" is a faster route.
