Sign a PDF online
Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or touchscreen and drop it onto the signature line. The signature stays in your own browser; neither the file nor the signature is uploaded.
How it works
- Open the PDF Choose the file or drop the PDF onto the page.
- Click "Signature" Draw your signature on the pad that opens. You can change the ink color or clear it and start over.
- Place it on the document Click "Use" to put the signature on the current page as an image, drag it into position and drag a corner to resize.
- Export Click "Export PDF". The signature is drawn onto the page and you get a new file with no watermark.
Good to know
- Your signature is remembered in this browser (never uploaded) so you can reuse it next time; clearing site data means signing again.
- This places a handwritten image on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and has no tamper-evident verification.
- Need several signatures in one file? Copy a placed signature and drag the copy to the next spot.
FAQ
Is my signature uploaded or stored on a server?
No. It is kept in your own browser's local storage, and editing and exporting happen on your device.
Is a signature made this way legally binding?
That depends on the situation and the other party's requirements. This only places a handwritten signature on the PDF; it is not a certificate-based e-signature, so use a certified e-signature service where one is required.
